Installing .iso onto a USB

As root, sudo -i, run command,

fdisk -l

to identify the USB device, possibly /dev/sdb, for example.

Make sure the USB device is unmounted, using /dev/sdb as an example.

umount /dev/sdb

Assuming the .iso file is in your current working folder, type the following command and wait for it to finish.

dd bs=4M if=EeeMC.16.04.28.amd64.iso of=/dev/sdb

Can take up to 10 minutes to complete.

Probably good to use a reasonable quality USB drive.

Prepare the USB first, using a programme such as Gparted.
